Aurélien Bellanger

Born in 1980, Aurélien Bellanger is an author who trained as a philosopher and is a former bookseller. In 2010 his essay on Michel Houellebecq, Houellebecq écrivain romantique, was published by Leo Scheer. He publishes his own poems on his blog, Hapax, and has been philosophy critic for nonfiction.fr since October 2007. In 2012, Gallimard published his first novel La Théorie de l’information. The biography of his main character, Pascal Ertanger, is broadly inspired by the life of the CEO of the French telecoms company Free. In 2014 he was awarded the Prix de Flore for his second novel, L’aménagement du territoire (published by Gallimard), and he publishes in 2017 a new novel, Le Grand Paris.
