BE PART

A europeen project for community co-creation

BE PART is a European network for co-creation and mobility in art. Based on a vibrant collaborative approach, BE PART fosters a non-hierarchical bottom-up approach in artistic endeavours.

For four years BE PART - Beyond participation brings together ten European and non-European partners working in different rural and urban contexts with a range of different missions and economic realities. International festivals, theatres, artist-in-residence venues, cultural centres, museums and et cultural organisations:

Santarcangelo Festival (Rimini, Italy) - leader

Artsadmin (Londres, England)

Scottish Sculpture Workshop (Aberdeenshire, Scotland)

Kansallisgalleria (Helsinki, Finland)

New Theatre Institute of Latvia (Riga, Lettonia)

Festival de Marseille (Marseille, France)

Association l'Art Rue (Tunis, Tunisia)

City of Women (Ljubljana, Slovenia)

Cork Midsummer Festival (Cork, Ireland)

Kunstencentrum Vooruit (Gand, Belgium)

Within this framework, Rara Woulib created Moun Fou in 2019-2020 in collaboration with victims of social exclusion and organisations that care for them.

The Festival de Marseille also invited the choreographer Andrew Graham to co-create a project with non-professional disabled and non-disabled people in Marseille: Parade, from which work-in-progress was presented in 2021, is on the Festival programme in 2022.

The collaborative artistic and social project Rope continues in the region in 2023: the Rope left a part of itself behind in Marseille to continue its odyssey in the city, meeting locals in schools, community centres, public squares, etc.
