Call for Participation

The Festival de Marseille is looking for amateur for Tarab, an original collective work by Éric Minh Cuong Castaing – Cie Shonen, which will close the 30th edition of the festival.

Created in collaboration with composer Rayess Bek, this performed celebration will blend dabkeh, music, and poetry into a sensory experience. Involving dancers from the Levant diaspora and a hundred amateurs, it will allow sensations, experiences, and emotions to flow freely in a vast collective momentum.

Preparatory workshops will guide participants in a choreographic immersion based on sharing, contact, and listening.

Open to everyone aged 16 and over, this adventure is aimed at both beginners and enthusiasts. It is necessary to attend at least two workshops to be part of the performance. Each participant commits to attending at least two preparatory workshops of their choice, as well as the general rehearsal (which will take place on the same day as the performance).
