Nomadic Massive

Nomadic Massive is a hip-hop collective from Montreal. Well known for their explosive shows and political lyrics, the group has captivated crowds around the world with their unique mix of global beats based on live instrumentation and the art of sampling.

The group has been invited to perform all over the world: at the Celebrate Brooklyn Festival in New York, at International Jazz Festivals in Toronto and Montreal, at the Printemps de Bourges, at the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Paléo Festival in Nyon, Switzerland. Released in 2016, their album The Big Band Theory was a completely new experience: a multilingual album (in 5 languages) combining the smooth, rebellious rhythms of seventies soul, the melting pot of today’s cosmopolitan cities, and avant-garde hip-hop culture. The group produces a free sound that cleverly combines their intelligent flows with live instrumentals and samples.
Released in 2018, the Miwa EP continues in the same vein. This mini-album has attracted the attention of several music journalists and critics who have hailed the group’s work, which means that their next album, to be released in 2019, is eagerly awaited.
