Dag Taeldeman & Andrew Van Ostade

Dag Taeldeman (1968) is a Belgian composer and musician. Andrew Van Ostade has been active as a professional musician since 2010.

Dag Taeldeman : he studied composition and guitar at the Jazz Studio in Antwerp and was taught by such names as Pierre Van Dormael, Philip Catherine and David Crane.  
In 2002, he founded the band A Brand, with which he recorded five studio albums and toured throughout Europe, the US and Canada. He has played at many festivals such as Rock Werchter, Eurosonic, Lowlands and South By Southwest.
He also works as a producer for various bands (such as the album Zero Hour by Diablo Blvd, released on Nuclear Blast Records).  
Over the past 25 years, he has written and performed music for several plays and films, such as Je Suis Sang (Troubleyn/Jan Fabre, 2002) and Chet (Compagnie Cecilia, 2016). In 2015 he wrote the music for the 24-hour performance Mount Olympus. To glorify the cult of tragedy. A 24-hour performance (Troubleyn/Jan Fabre). This music was released internationally through Butler Records. He also composed music for The Generosity of Dorcas (Troubleyn/Jan Fabre), musical Meiskes en Jongens (Deep Bridge), the films Circle of Life and Mild und Leise (Lieve Blancquaert) and other projects. He is currently working on his own project with Andrew Van Ostade, BodyBodyBodyBody, and on the music for the film Crossing (Jacqueline Van Vugt). In 2022 Dag will compose and play music in Do The Calimero (Lies Pauwels, LOD).

 

Andrew Van Ostade : Winner of 'Humo's Rock Rally' with the group 'School Is Cool', with whom he released two studio albums. He has played at major festivals in the Netherlands (Pukkelpop, Werchter, Dour, Dranouter) and abroad. For the Troubleyn/Jan Fabre performance Mount Olympus he composed the 14-minute song.
'Mount Olympus' together with Dag Taeldeman as the focal point for the 24-hour performance. Andrew is a performer in the Troubleyn/Jan Fabre show 'Mount Olympus, To Glorify the Cult of Tragedy' (2015) and composer of the music for the Troubleyn/Jan Fabre theatre show Belgium Rules/Belgian Rules (2017). He played as an actor in several performances of Kuiperskaai/Lisaboa Houbrechts, such as 'Winter's Tale' and 'Bruegel'. Besides musician and actor, he is also a filmmaker and screenwriter. In 2018, his first feature film for children 'Baba Yega The Movie' was released in kinepolis halls. In the summer of 2019, the filming of a second feature film De Gebroeders Schimm will start. In 2022 Andrew will compose and play music in Do The Calimero (Lies Pauwels, LOD).
