Dance, theater, concerts, installations, performances, cinema, talks and parties are part of the program of the Festival de Marseille.
The Festival brings together audiences and artists from here and from elsewhere, interacting with its plural city.
Diverse, festive and international, the Festival de Marseille reflects the energy and vibrancy of the City of Marseille.
Since joining the Festival in 2016, Jan Goossens has been inviting people to share: “Marseille, the world, artists and citizens who together imagine and create a common city and a common future: these are the elements of the generous and ambitious project of the Festival de Marseille. »
The 2021 edition of the Festival, the 6th by Jan Goossens, took place in two stages: from June 17 to July 11 and from August 24 to 29 during the festive dynamic of the "Été Marseillais".
On August 31st Marie Didier, current director of La Rose des Vents - scène nationale Lille Métropole Villeneuve d’Ascq was appointed as the next director of the Festival. She will succeed Jan Goossens in January 2022.
