Dance, theater, concerts, installations, performances, cinema, talks and parties are part of the program of the Festival de Marseille.
The Festival brings together audiences and artists from here and from elsewhere, interacting with its plural city.
Diverse, festive and international, the Festival de Marseille reflects the energy and vibrancy of the City of Marseille.
The 2022 edition of the Festival will be the first designed by Marie Didier who just succeeded to Jan Goossens as Director. This upcoming edition will take place from June 16th to July 9th.
This edition will connect the artistic vitality of the territory to international projects, art to audiences, Marseille to the world.
The Festival will foster cooperation within a young generation of artists based locally and from the Mediterranean basin or the Comoros. It will present transcontinental productions that tackle the issues of contemporary changes, and will initiate processes involving the inhabitants to creative processes.
By combining local and international influences, gathering emerging artists and recognized authors of the contemporary scene and offering a programme driven by artistic excellence yet approachable, the Festival de Marseille aims to sharing and bringing people together. It will especially target young people and populations that barely visit cultural institutions.
