Pol Jiménez

Pol Jiménez is a Spanish choreographer and dancer. Trained in Spanish dance and flamenco, he is always on the lookout for new codes and new areas to explore to fuel his creations, which are based on improvisations.

Born in 1995, Pol Jiménez studied dance at the Conservatori Professional de Dansa in Barcelona and the Centro Andaluz de Danza in Seville. He has worked with companies and choreographers including La Fura dels Baus, Cesc Gelabert, Ángel Rojas, Juan Carlos Lérida and José Manuel Álvarez.


Since 2013, he has developed a repertoire of original performances including Subconscient, Nu, Sentimsentits, Katakana, and La Oscilante. The winner of multiple awards, he won Best Male Performer for La Oscilante, with a nomination in the choreography and dance staging category, at XXV Premis Butaca. He also won the best dancer award, with a nomination for the best dance show, at the Prix de la Critique des Arts Scéniques 2018, and was selected in 2019 by the National Network of Spanish Theatres. In 2021 he premiered Lo Faunal, which combines folk dance, bolero and flamenco.


Currently, in parallel with his tours, he is working with the Barcelona Guitar Trio and Pedro Javier González at the Palau de la Música Catalana, and with the group Los Aurora.
