In Marseille, as elsewhere, Selma and Sofiane Ouissi capture the language of local people in a show that is unique for its working method, the way it is presented, and the way it is received. Le Moindre Geste is based on filmed interviews with ordinary people from Marseille whose stories, when heard, become extraordinary. Using an audiovisual method that is more sophisticated than it seems, the listening process is extended into gesture. Listening and reaching out to others is a way of changing the way we see them.
