Any new creation by Peeping Tom is an adventure in its own right. Anyone who’s seen the trilogy Vader-Moeder-Kinderen, the cult show 32 rue Vandenbranden or the set design for À Louer—a tatty old living room—, will remember them well. Chroniques is a similarly powerful experience, using a series of fantastic environments and strange poetic landscapes to evoke tipping points, moments of transition in time and space that make places and lives into fragile snapshots. The five performers are plunged into a transformative world on the edge of reality. As always, this takes place in a sophisticated stage set in which virtuoso choreography combines with intense acting. While Gabriela Carrizo is opening a new chapter in the history of the company with a completely new team, her signature remains intact.
