Anne Festraets studied musicology and theatre. For about ten years she worked with artists and companies, working as a technician, a dramaturge, a producer and a director’s assistant. She also made docu-dramas for radio, trained in electro-acoustic composition with Art Zoyd, and experimented with creative radio work.
En 2015, she was shocked to observe the unfolding refugee crisis and decided to work for two years at the Fedasil reception centre in Neder-Over-Hembeek, which specifically hosts unaccompanied foreign minors.
Since 2022 she has continued to work on her theatrical, radiophonic and interdisciplinary projects, always remaining closely connected to the audiences she seeks to address.
