Armes molles

For those of us whose lives are not structured by hegemonic narratives, the world sometimes ends up presenting itself as almost an absence of stories to follow or to let ourselves be guided by. When this is the case, surviving means having to excavate, to resuscitate, to (co)create stories able to hold/support/contain our existence. In this solo, Léa Rivière unfolds fragments of stories as if using “soft” weapons: those that know the difference between an absence of combat and the presence of a refusal to fight.

Léa Rivière lives and works in the southern Massif central. Her first book, L’Odeur des pierres mouillées, was published in July 2023 by Éditions du Commun.
