How can we write that which trembles, deviates, refuses? Filer droit is an exploration of language and the body, starting from a refusal to learn to “do things right” and “behave yourself”, rooted in the transition from childhood to adolescence, from ability to the disabled identity, from controlled silence to the choice of the spoken word as a form of direct action.
Lucie Camous is a researcher, an artist and a curator. She seeks to create spaces for discussion that allow us collectively to define the way artists, activists and researchers can craft aesthetic approaches and interpretive tools in order to frame and express anti-ableist struggles.
This performance is part of the programme for the ‘How does disability transform art, the art world and representations?’ day.
