How does disability transform art, the art world and representations?

Performance, Cinema, Public talk and Conference

More than just a space for discovering the performing arts, the Festival de Marseille is intended to be a place of reflection and sharing that redefines frontiers. This year, we continue our series titled “How does disability transform art, the art world and representations?” Based on our work on a European scale, we offer professionals a number of events focusing on participatory practices and creation.

Discussions, carte blanche events, films, performances and lectures will deal with these themes.

15:00 Lecture by Mathilde François – Ce que les corps déviants enseignent [What non-conforming bodies teach us]

17:00 Starting with the Limbs by Annie Hanauer and L’Autre Maison (see p. xx)

Carte blanche: No Anger

Based on their academic research, the artist, author and researcher No Anger develops an artistic practice combining video art, performance art and literary writing. As a guest of the Festival de Marseille, they have asked Léa Rivière, Lucie Camous and Élisabeth Lebovici to help them explore critical thinking on ableism.
